What People and Press say

Innovation in the construction sector through the eyes of our partners and the media
«The two-storey Elektrilevi training center built in Kiili, Harju County, is a unique building not only in Estonia but also in the world. It was built using the principles of the 3cycle modular house developed at the Estonian Academy of Arts.»
ERR
Estonian News
«The Elektrilevi training center will be the first 100% modular, wooden, and high-quality architectural and technical training center in Estonia. It will be assembled from industrially produced components and can be easily dismantled, maintained, expanded, or relocated as needed - something completely new in design and construction for Estonia. The building designed in the significantly updated 3cycle modular house system developed at the Estonian Academy of Arts demonstrates how future school buildings can be constructed to enrich the local community and not become an administrative burden, but rather keep up with the needs of the client.»
EKA
Estonian Academy of Arts
«3cycle modular house is an open-source platform for modular and low-impact buildings that can be customized and upgraded even after construction. The main goal is to reduce the environmental footprint of construction by creating a demand-driven and supply-based green construction market.»
Accelerate Estonia
Estonian National Innovation Lab
«In August of this year, the Tallinn City Property Department announced an idea competition for environmentally friendly solutions for the Päikene and Pääsupesa kindergartens in North Tallinn, which would allow factory-produced wooden modules to be flexibly adapted to the needs of the kindergarten. The solution for the new kindergarten buildings is created in the 3cycle modular house system developed at the Estonian Academy of Arts, with the aim of contributing to the green transformation in construction.»

«Interview with Renee Puusepp, a lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts and an enthusiast of timber construction, discussing new possibilities of using wood in contemporary architecture. The conversation covers current trends in timber construction, the environmental impact of the construction sector, and provides a more detailed introduction to the 3cycle modular house project developed at the Academy of Arts under Puusepp's leadership.»
Äripäev
Estonian Business Newspaper
«A nail gun in a man's hand is a common sight in timber construction. Except when building a circular economy-compliant building, where no nails can be used because the materials must be connected in a way that allows the building to be dismantled into its original components and the pieces can be reused without much effort in another location, such as building a shed, house, or pavilion.»
